The international maritime fair, Atlantic Fair 2015, took place in the Faroe Islands for the seventh time from May 12 to 14, 2015. This was the third time, it was held in Klaksvík.

3,850 visitors attended the fair during the three days. This is a minor drop in attendance, compared to the previous exhibition in 2013. Organizers and exhibitors, however, are generally quite satisfied with the quality of the visitors.

The decline in attendance was mainly from educational institutes, as the last day of the exhibition fell on a holiday.

Approximately 15% foreign visitors

Atlantic Fair has placed a great deal of emphasis on international marketing. We now see a result in the growing number of foreign visitors. This year, about 15% of the visitors came from abroad, from 23 different countries.

Exhibitors

177 companies, from 19 countries, exhibited this time. This is an increase in both exhibitors and countries.

Agreement signed for Atlantic Fair 2017

The last day of the fair, the mayor of Klaksvík, Mr. Jógvan Skorheim, and Mr. Áki í Skemmuni, managing director of the Atlantic Fair, signed an agreement for 2017, stating that the next exhibition will be held in Klaksvík in April or May 2017.
