Mrs Lene Skou, married to Mr Søren Skou, Partner in the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group and CEO of Maersk Tankers, honoured Pacific Basin and the Yard by naming the newbuilding HUMBER VIKING.
HUMBER VIKING is the first Roll on/Roll off ship in a series of four Ro-Ros ordered by Pacific Basin. The ship has a cargo capacity of 3,663 lane metres. The propulsion machinery consists of two MAK 9M43C engines which develop 8,100 kW at 500 revolutions per minute each. Furthermore, the ship is equipped with rotary vane steering gear and two bow thrusters to give increased manoeuvrability. For improved turnaround time, the internal ramp to the upper deck has two lanes which enables simultaneous loading and unloading of the upper and top decks.
After delivery the ship will enter into service for Norfolkline and be employed between the Netherlands and England.

HUMBER VIKING will be registered in London.
