The Danish Maritime Fair will present a number of new initiatives, when the Exhibition open the doors Tuesday October 25th. The most important new initiative is the Shipowners Lounge, arranged by the Danish Shipowners Association and manned by some of the largest players in the shipping business in Denmark.

The exhibition presents 4 new pavilions from The Netherlands, Germany, Sweden and Finland, a Blue Career pavilion with now more than 10 educational institutions participating and a number of highly relevant conferences, e.g. The Danish Maritime Technology Conference, organized by the supplier organization Danish Maritime and The Danish Port Conference, organized by TØF and Maritime Development Centre of Europe.

The venue is a more than 100-year-old Locomotive repair workshop. The venue was chosen first time in 2015 and created a lot of attention, Exhibition Manager Jakob le Fevre says:

- Most maritime conferences are in the same kind of settings, concrete exhibition centers with poor air quality, artificial light and few architectonic details. This venue has soul. Hundreds of blue collar men have worked here and you can literally smell the oil. We loved it from the first time we saw it.

The focus of this year´s fair is Relations. The product and its features are merely an invitation to talk, but the quality of the business relationship is what puts ink on the dotted line.

That is the background for this year’s large social event “Networking Dinner & After party” in the Main Deck, with space for up to 500 participants. The organizers promise a show that goes beyond expectations and a show that will create the perfect atmosphere to build relations and simply have a great time together.

The organizers report that more than 150 companies have signed up as exhibitors by now and 5.000 visitors are expected during the 3 days the show last. There are still few stands left, but the organizers expect to close for bookings within the next month.
