Polarcus Samur is delivered

Polarcus has taken delivery of the 3D seismic vessel Polarcus Samur of the Ulstein SX133 design.

Built at Drydocks World – Dubai, it becomes the fourth vessel in Polarcus’ fleet as it heads to Namibia under charter to HRT Participações em Petróleo S.A. and UNX Energy Corp.
At 3 March 2011, Polarcus took delivery of the Polarcus Samur, an arctic-capable, eight streamer 3D seismic vessel. She is 84 metres long and 17 metres wide, and can deploy eight streamers each of 6,000 metres length, or six streamers each of 8,000 metres length.
All vessels in the Polarcus fleet are designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions. Two more are under construction at DWD, and two are contracted for construction at Ulstein Verft.
