A dual installation of Transas Navi-Sailor 4000 MFD ECDIS fulfills the ECDIS carriage requirements and is approved for paperless navigation.
The Wilson fleet consists of 113 vessels, ranging from 1,500 to 10,000 DWT, and Wilson is among the largest shipping operators within the European short sea segment. Under this contract, Transas has already delivered dual Transas Navi-Sailor 4000 MFD ECDIS for two vessels, «Wilson North» and «Wilson Nice».
Transas ECDIS is a true “multifunction” system that reads and presents all official chart formats. Transas Admiralty Digital Services (TADS) provides the best coverage of official charts available, a service that will include temporary and preliminary (T&P) chart corrections.
Wilson ASA selected Transas after careful considerations of available alternatives. Wilson’s Purchasing Manager, Nikolai Berget, concluded that Transas delivers the most cost efficient solution and that Transas provides for all required products and services in one smooth operation.
John Vonli, Transas Marine Norway’s General Manager, says: – I am impressed with Wilson’s professionalism and I look forward to being Wilson’s supplier of hardware and services for paperless navigation.
