Following the enormously successful events in 2006, 2008 and 2010, China Maritime is returning to Hong Kong for a fourth time. Running through to March 1, China Maritime boasts a terrific programme that brings together the top names in the maritime industry discussing the issues that matter. Alongside its world-class exhibition, the week will see an unrivalled range of seminars, conferences and social events.

China Maritime will get started at 09:40 today with Ms Eva Cheng, Secretary for Transport and Housing for the Hong Kong Self-Administered Region Government, giving an address during the opening ceremony at the HKCEC. Following that, guests can check out the numerous companies and industry bodies participating in the exhibition, or attend some of the events being held over the course of the day.

The Young Professionals in Shipping Network (YPSN) is presenting a seminar boasting an outstanding line-up of speakers, at the HKCEC from 14:00 to 17:30 (email: youngprofessionals.shipping@gmail.com). The Philippines Maritime League will also be holding a promotion at the HKCEC, between 16:00 and 18:00 (email: info@maritimeleague.com).

Meanwhile, Marine Money has again decided to hold its one-day Asian conference in tandem with China Maritime, from 10:00 to 17:00 at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel (email koates@marinemoney.com for more information).

We’ll be continuing to publish updates on our website, www.bairdmaritime.com, throughout the week, covering all the latest developments and further upcoming events at China Maritime. We look forward to seeing you there!
