Fairstar Heavy Transport N.V. announces that FORTE has successfully completed sea-trials in China. The sea-trials finished with a successful submerging test. The FORTE will now return to the yard to prepare for its naming ceremony on May 23rd.

On another matter Fairstar Heavy Transport NV Board of Directors rejected the unsolicited, conditional offer from Dockwise to acquire Fairstar shares at a purchase price of NOK 9.3 per share.
The Company considers the Dockwise offer to be opportunistic and overlooks a number of significant aspects of Fairstar’s business, notably the replacement cost of the Fairstar fleet, the value of the Company’s order book and the reputation Fairstar has established as a provider of high value marine transportation services for energy infrastructure projects involving the world’s major energy and EPC Companies.
